A new British weekly comic on the web.Aces Weekly is the brainchild of David Lloyd, 62, the man who drew the revolutionary V For Vendetta. "The great thing about being online is it's at the press of a button," says Lloyd. "You don't have to find a comic store, you don't have to order it." Aces Weekly is accessible from mobile and desktop devices, and includes extras that give readers an insight into the creative process: character sketches, pencilled pages and blogs from the artists will all feature. "These days, there's interest in how it's done as well as the finished product," Lloyd says. "Look at directors' commentaries. It's a completely different world of consumers to those who used to read comics casually."
As a fan of the Comic I contacted David directly after having difficulty with the user interface. I re-designed the interface to be more user friendly and intuitive. Allowing the user to concentrate on the content and not the navigation. This included allowing the user to navigate from both through the different stories as well as the weekly content.
David Lloyd (as in the David Lloyd) contacted me back and has accepted my improvement and designs to his brainchild.
